Youth Retreats

We love retreats, and we believe they are vital to our ministry!

Retreats offer opportunities to rest and renew, to spend time with friends, and to slow down enough to reflect on what God is doing in our lives. Our ministry attends a fall retreat and spring retreat annually, going to a variety of locations such as Bethany Beach and Camp Highroad. We have even had a retreat camping out in Shenandoah!

We also take our middle school students on retreat specifically for them! JOURNEY Weekend is designed to encourage and challenge middle school students (6-8 graders) in their walk with Christ, Journey is sponsored by the Jeremiah project and takes place at Rockbridge Alum Springs in Goshen VA. During the weekend students get to dive into all the awesome activities Rockbridge has to offer, as well as worship and deepen their faith!

*We never want financial barriers to be a reason a student cannot participate in youth events here at Fairfax UMC! If your family has a financial obstacle that is stopping a student from participating, please contact the church. All concerns and inquires are kept confidential.

Our Retreats

Fall Retreat

The Fall Retreat is open to both middle and high school students. Our location for this retreat varies year-to-year.

Spring Retreat

The Spring Retreat is designed specifically to help our high school students grow in their faith and walk with God. Its location changes from year to year.

JOURNEY Weekend

The Journey Weekend retreat is intended to encourage and challenge our middle school students. It is sponsored by the Jeremiah Project and takes place at Rockbridge Alum Springs in Goshen, VA.
