Did you know that Fairfax UMC hosts English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for our neighbors? The ESL program has a strong history at FUMC; in the past, we’ve offered six levels of English classes and a citizenship class two nights a week. Though ESL lost many volunteers due to the pandemic, we were able to offer online classes for two years, and we were thrilled to return to in-person classes in Fall 2022 with a once-a-week Beginner-level class that helped about 15 students. As we continue to rebuild the ESL program, we are hosting an ESL Information Session on July 2 at 11:00am, after Fellowship Time, in Room 113. Please come learn about the program and our hopes for the future of ESL at Fairfax UMC. If you cannot attend this session, stay tuned; we hope to offer another session in late July.
