Course Modules

More Than Words (June 7–July 5)

In a world of soundbites and constant noise, words can start to feel cheap. We say them quickly and forget them just as fast. But in the languages of Scripture, words carried weight. They teach theology and more, just as hymns have throughout history. These Words and hymns weren’t just labels for ideas; they were windows into the very character and activity of God. These are not just theological terms. They are the ways God continues to move in our lives today. More Than Words is an invitation to move beyond the language of religion and into the experience of relationship. In this series, we will explore several powerful Hebrew and Greek words, hear from and celebrate our seniors, and spend a Sunday in song!

Summer Internship (July 12–September 6

Every summer, students and professionals alike sign up for internships. Why? Because they know that if they want to grow, they can’t just keep doing the same thing they’ve always done! They need new rhythms, new mentors, and new habits to get to the next level.

This summer, we’re doing the same thing with our faith. We’re treating these nine weeks like a Summer Internship with Jesus. We’re stepping into the lab to learn the rhythms that actually sustain a life. This isn’t about checking boxes or adding more chores to your list; it’s about learning the “trade” of being a human being who is deeply connected to God. We’re going to spend these nine weeks training in the basics, from how to be still and listen to how to serve and give in ways that leave us full rather than empty. We’re moving past the “theory” of religion and exploring the hands-on, daily practice of an apprentice.

If you’ve ever felt like your spiritual life was stuck in a rut or if you’re ready to level up and build something that actually lasts, you’re in the right place. Welcome to your Summer Internship; let’s get to work!

Attendance: Come as often as you are in town. Who knows; there may be awards for perfect attendance.

Participation: Bring your insights, your questions, and your voice (especially for the Hymn Sing Service).

Office Hours: Our pastoral staff is available throughout the summer for coffee, questions, and even just to chat about the reading list. Watch for dates for Biscuits with Bryson and Happy Hour Hangouts, or reach out individually and we’ll put something on the calendar.
