SUMMARY:Journey Through the Gospels: John Bible Study (Morning Session)
DESCRIPTION:Our Journey Through the Gospels study series concludes this fall with a six-week study of the book of John. Come find out why this book is often called the “Gospel of Life” and discover how John differs from Matthew\, Mark\, and Luke in focus and purpose. Whether you’re a beginner Bible reader or a seasoned student of the Scriptures\, we promise you’ll be blessed by this time of fellowship and joyful learning. Can’t be present for the entire study? No worries; you’re welcome to come for any or all of our sessions. Our Wednesday morning (11:00am) study begins September 20 and ends October 25\, and an identical Wednesday evening (6:30pm) study begins September 27 and ends November 1. Refreshments are provided at both studies.

SUMMARY:ESL Classes
DESCRIPTION:Fairfax UMC offers English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for beginner and intermediate-level English language learners throughout the year. We also offer a Citizenship Class to prepare students for the U.S. Citizenship test. \n  \nThe Fall 2023 ESL session begins Wednesday\, September 13\, and ends on November 15. Classes are held on Wednesday evenings at 7:00–9:00pm. This 10-week class session costs $30\, which covers class materials and a book for students to keep. These classes are for adults ages 18 and over; child care is not provided. \n  \nTo pre-register for class and sign up for an in-person registration slot\, fill out the ESL Registration Form. SUMMARY:FACETS Meal Preparation
DESCRIPTION:At 3:00pm on the first and third Fridays of each month\, FACETS volunteers from FUMC prepare and deliver hot meals for families and individuals who are homeless in our community. Please contact Jim Conklin to assist with this critical ministry. Volunteers to cook and deliver the meals are always needed.
