DESCRIPTION:Our Stock the Shelves food pantry ministry\, which originally served 20 families when it was founded in 2020\, now serves 50–70 families every month by providing them with necessities such as food\, cleaning supplies\, and hygiene products. Your donations make this possible! You can give financially to support the food pantry via our online donations portal\, or you can donate shelf-stable goods in the blue bins located in the Narthex and church office. Each month has a different item focus\, which you can learn about on our Facebook page\, or you can click here for a list of all suggested donations. DESCRIPTION:What exactly did Jesus do and say while he was on earth? What were his primary and his controversial teachings? How was he different from other religious leaders\, and what does he want from us today? If you’d like answers to these types of questions and want to grow your faith\, join Pastor Pamela Kipps on a Journey Through the Gospels. We’ll begin our journey on September 21 with a six week study of the book of Matthew. Classes will run weekly through October 26\, with identical sessions on Wednesday mornings at 11:00am to noon and Sunday mornings at 10:30–11:30am. DESCRIPTION:FUMC looks forward to another delicious dinner and more great conversation at our Dinner Out event on Wednesday\, September 28. Starting at 6:30pm\, join us in the backyard of Pastor Pamela’s parsonage across the street from the church for Italian Night! This is a great way to connect with others in the church\, make new friends\, and soak up a spirit of joy! Drop-ins are welcome\, but if you can\, let Pastor Pamela know you plan to attend by sending an email to pkipps@fairfaxumc.org or calling the church office at 703-591-3120. This will help us order food accordingly. Tables will be set up inside and outside for casual comfort.
