Fairfax UMC is hosting the 2023 Hypothermia Shelter on February 12–18. There are several ways for you to share love with our guests throughout each day! Individuals or groups may help out by making coffee and serving breakfast casseroles in the early mornings, setting up in the afternoons before guests arrive, preparing meals in the evenings, or providing breakfast items. If you can’t come in person, you can help by donating items such as clothing, snacks, and monetary donations to purchase bus passes and gas cards. For clothing donations, all types are appreciated, but we are particularly looking for new men’s and women’s undergarments, socks, and warm clothing. If you are donating snacks, please provide individually packaged items, which can include fresh fruits and vegetables. Donations can be placed in the blue bins located in the Narthex and church office. Whatever the weather, we plan to provide a loving, warm, and safe environment for our brothers and sisters.
