The Holiday Market is back! This event focuses on providing for families in the area who have not been sponsored for Christmas and would therefore be “left out.” On Friday, December 16, 5:00–8:00pm, we offer the parents a night to come get a new, unwrapped, age-appropriate toy for each of their children, as well as gently used books and coats to add to their holiday gift giving at no cost to them. A free gift wrap room is available to the parents so they can wrap their child’s gifts. In addition, parents also receive a $20 gift card for Walmart and, thanks to a generous endowment from the church, a $30 Butterball gift check.
This is a churchwide mission event, and we need lots of hands and help to make it a success! For those who are able to give, a donation bin is already available in the Narthex to receive new, unwrapped toys, as well as gently used books, coats, stocking stuffers, and other items and $20 Walmart gift cards. Volunteers are also needed to help with setting up, running, and cleaning up after the event. Click here to sign up for a volunteer slot; you can help for as much or as little time as you want. Remember, many hands make light work. If you have any questions, please reach out to Leslie Carter by email at email@example.com or by phone at 703-587-4575.
