In 1991, Fairfax United Methodist Church Preschool began offering a Winter Workshop series to help meet the community’s need for continuing educational opportunities. The series has continued annually ever since.
Over the years, the trends in early childhood education have varied so the topics presented have been varied. Presenters offer education in areas such as music & movement, art, child abuse & neglect, literacy, math, science and play. Each year we attempt to identify topics that will provide a well-rounded series, offering something for everyone, even the educator who has been attending workshops for years.
The workshops typically have approximately 75 participants in a 1 ½ or 2 hour workshop. Each participant receives a certificated of participation.
There continues to be a need for high quality continuing education programing and we are proud to help educate the caring men and women who are instilling the high values and knowledge in our leaders of tomorrow.
